I guess the truck went over a screen door or something like that and pretty much chewed it up and shot it out the back at me. Unfortunately it was a busy highway and there was very little room for me to swerve and caught it all on the driver side.

I always stay away from trucks, either speed up to pass it or switch to the furthest lane from it, but I see u said it was a busy highway , hope INsurance takes care of it for u.

Sorry to see that man...

I worry all the time when on highways down here. They're like fuking land mine fields in Houston, debris all over the place.

I just got my car back from the body shop from a similar, but much worse experience. I ended up replacing front bumper, fender, oil cooler was crushed, fog light and headlamp were smashed, all of the underbody plastics broken, the front and the rear left doors had scrapes.

Look at it this way: its a great opportunity for you to upgrade the bumper.
