What is the highest millage 335 that is still
on the original fuel pump?
I believe every single one is deffective including the replacement I am waiting for. Actually, its probably a design flaw. Now when I get my new pump replaced I will be always worried. |

13k mi. "knock on wood" as well. And to answer sambonator's gas question -- only Mobil and Shell 93 octane.

Shell 93 and occas 76, Initially, I used whatever was cheapest which happen to be BP where I lived. I threw a CEL when I did a WOT run once, went to the dealer, thery attributed it to bad gas. Went to 93 shell and never once had a problem.

29000 miles. 95% BP 93 Octane. I have run BP in every car I've ever owned and never had a problem.
Now they even have a catchy theme song! |

That is one of the major drawbacks to the internet forums. The dealer I work for has only replaced maybe 2 fuel pumps. And that is out of the hundreds of cars that we have sold. And how many people that dont have the famed oil cooler, actually need one? or have overheated? Since one person has this problem, surely you will too.

Yep, i just talked to my service advisor about it and he was upfront about the oil cooler and even knew the fuel pump was being changed to a different brand.
But he also mentioned he has only had ONE 335 with a dead fuel pump that came into service. Thats it. At our local chicago meet, most had no issues with their pumps and they are all over 10k miles. The way i look at it is if it fails, then it fails. Still there isnt another car out there in this price range i rather have.
