Schumacher retires :(

You'll be missed Michael!

I sincerely hope we still see him around the paddock. A true champion

Meh, this whole comeback was sad. I was a huge Schumi fan until the first retirement, this whole "return" just seems like a money grab.

+1 Agreed (other than the part of being a Schumi Fan)

He'll be back again. I just want to know how long it'll last, this time.

This time we saw the more chilled, relaxed Schumi compare to his record breaking career.
Good to see him on the podium this season, despite he got extremely unlucky with the car.

I liked seeing him on the podium as well, I just wish it wasn't because there was a huge crash off the start. I don't believe he would have had the same success if Hamilton and another big name name weren't taken out at turn 1.

His time at Mercedes was painful to watch. I could hardly believe they could do that poorly.

Sad to see him go (again) but it's time. What he did do though was help bring Mercedes up to the relatively good form they're in now, plus he proved he's still a top notch driver by setting the fastest time in Monaco qualifying (if it weren't for the grid drop he probably would have won).

I was thinking he'd hold out for another year to pass Barrichello in all time GP starts, guess not.

On the German news today... it kind of sounds like he will work for MB F1 team in some kind of role. At least that is what they are reporting. His driving days are over though.

He should have stayed retired honestly. Final years are a bit of a black mark on an otherwise fantastic career.

Luca di Montezemelo said he'd offer him a lifetime contract if he wanted one, Schumacher Ferrari left because he felt like it was the right time to.

I hate to see Schumi go, but on the other hand he can now go back to being the Stig.

Michael Schumacher has been told he can have a Formula 1 testing role at Pirelli next year if he wants it.
