Wax interaction
Hi,
currently, my car is waxed with Sonax Xtreme hard wax (not sure what number it is, but it comes in a tin). On top of that, I apply Sonax Quickwax. The wax seems to last like 3 months on the car if weather is good. It wears off the roof first, for some reason. I want to wax the car tomorrow for winter prep, I want to use Poorboy's nattys white, as it seems to last longer. Do I need to remove the Sonax wax? I'm scared I'll pile the Nattys ontop of the sonax and the sonax won't hold on well, taking the Nattys off with it. Also, I seem to notice hazing when I apply Sonax Quickwax over nattys? The car looses it's reflection, i.e. it doesn't reflect from such a distance, however, the reflection is still sharp. |

do not use dawn soap, you can severely damage the clear coat. I would just clay bar your car. It will take off all wax and sealants.
