The Bourne Ultimatum
Just came back from seeing it, it was absolutely awesome. The pace was much better than the second movie. The series has been always deliberate in pace, but this one was definitely faster paced than the second one, which I felt was a tad too slow at times. The Director really did a good job of mixing in the deliberate pace with the action scenes. I was into the movie the whole time, it was one of those movies where you can't wait to see what happens next. I definitely recommend watching the Bourne Ultimatum, it was the best one of the whole series.
It comes out tomorrow.

This was a prescreening. My friend works for Buy.com. Symantec paid for the whole company. Each one of us got to ring up $10 in food/drinks and got free tickets. The whole theater was shutdown while we were going inside.

It is coming out this Friday. Many theaters usually have mid-night (or close to mid-night) shows for movies though. This might have been one of those free screening ones (where you have to get in line because it's first come first served).

Great movie! Definitely one of the best thriller/action films of the year. It's pretty much a fast paced, none stop roller coaster ride from the beginning to the end. Well worth seeing...
-------------SPOILER AHEAD------------------------ Maybe this has already been mentioned, but did anyone notice the E90 in the movie? Driven by the blackbriar operative in the London scene. ---------------END SPOILER ------------------------ -hkj |

: sorry for ruining the movie for you dude... Now if only the movie would feature Bourne driving a e90/92 outrunning a G35. Seems like BMWs are heavily featured in the Bourne series: Identity: the professor drives an E46, Bourne and Marie drives a Mini Supremacy: Kirill drives an E65 7 series, Bourne drives an older bimmer (E21??) Ultimatum: E90 3 series! -hkj P.S. hey I noticed you got a 335 now. Congrats man! When did you get it? Last edited by hkj; 08-03-2007 at 03:02 PM.. |

Hey... I was watching some behind the scenes of the making. Matt Damon does almost all of his own driving scenes/stunts. It was a great behind the scenes where the stunt driver was late to the scene and Matt says something like, "I can do it..." the director didn't believe him, and Matt said something about cars when he was growing up.
So... the director set up 5 orange cones to make an open sided rectangle shape (like a parallel parking spot). Then he said something like, OK.... from 150 yards back, I want you to get to 60 MPH and then power slide into this box (paraphrasing, with errors, I'm sure). So, Matt gets into position and NAILS IT, first try. The director assumes it's beginners luck. So, he does it like 3-4 more times and nails everyone of them. Then the director says they also need a reverse 180 with a forward drive off... Matt nails that again like 3 times in a row. Someone finally walks up and says, "What's Matt doing", the director says... "putting a stunt man out of a job". Other than a few remote driving scenes, Matt ended up doing all his own car stunts. I though it was pretty impressive. -Tom |

I looked for it on YouTube, but I didn't find it. They were having a "Bourne Ultimatum" night on USA or one of those channels the other night. They were playing Identity and Supremacy and playing behind the scenes and "exclusive clips" all night.

That was a damn fine movie. There was indeed an e90 in it.
It was Sparkling Graphite, no Xenons. Couldn't make out the model designation. Last edited by Agni; 08-04-2007 at 03:45 AM.. |

It definitely keeps its pace as far as action goes. I work for Universal and colored the trailers for it. (Something I kinda proud of) I hope it does well.
