reversed "golf tee mod", but exhaust "farting" still exists

when i purchased the car, the previous owner cut the pipe between the two mufflers and welded the holes shut to make the exhaust louder. he also removed the tubing to the exhaust (not the one in the trunk, but the tube near the driver's side exhaust pipe).

it was too loud for me and after six months, i went to an exhaust shop to reconnect the missing pipe between the mufflers and i reconnected the tubing to the exhaust. yet, when i'm in first gear and driving out of my driveway, it'll still "fart" when i let off the throttle. this is happening at 2500rpm in 1st btw.

will the car need to relearn how to activate the flap again? i read that it was after 3000rpm that it should open up.

Garage List
No learning required for the flap. Check the flap while someone start the car cold. Not into the pipe but rather at the solenoid. It should shut.

The car do some "farting" even with flap closed, but less.

Sounds like you have catless downpipes.

Check the flap first. The previous owner could have stuck a bb in the hose and now it's unable to close the flap.
