HPDE - High Performance Driving Events
So I know some board members here have some HPDE experience and some have not. If you have the time and money I recommend registering for these events. If you're a newbie I recommend the BMW CCA driving schools first. http://www.bmwclubla.org/ - I am going to the CA Speedway event in Oct. http://www.speedventures.com/ http://socal.drivenasa.com/ http://touringcarclub.com/ Hope to see you guys there! |

These are great events! The upcoming Car Control Clinic and Driving School for BMWClubLA is a GREAT event for people wanting to get their feet wet with these events! Should be a LOT of fun!

Hey guys, just want to chime in.
These events are incredible for driver education and really tests your abilities to navigate through a road course not only quickly and aggressively but also safely. A quarter-mile/drag strip is fun, but it can't hold a candle to the fun you'll have a track where it's not about how much money some guy dumped into his car to make it faster in a straight line. Of the 4 organizations Jon posted. I have driven with 3 of them and instruct for one of them (Speed Ventures). There are several others out there such as Redline Track Events and Track Masters. They are all different and good in different ways. I'd be happy to answer questions regarding these events. |
