BOV PSI loss?

Is it true that my HKS bov is actually causing PSI loss and in turn slowing my car down?

This is what I was told by another 335i driver, however I never heard anything like that.

it could cause problems for sure, could being the important word

no way of knowing without actually measuring your levels

if its on right and properly calibrated it shouldn't though

I have the TIAL BOV on my car and thankfully I also have a Boost gauge(highly recommend you get one if you dont). I was able to tell that I had a leak when I installed it and when my spring was too strong.

I honestly have not lost one minute PSI due to the BOV and it holds very well with PROcede.

As long as you have installed it correctly you will have no problems... All these people talkin about problems with a BOV on the 335 are just misinformed... I have the hks BOV and a boost guage and there is no difference in boost from the factory diverters and i have had it on with the procede for about 4,000 miles...

Im running 14psi on 1.47, so I "think" thats correct even though the car has a Greddy Type Rs BOV.

Should I show any boost under light acceleration (from a stop) or cruising down the highway? RIght now the needle shows 0 or pulling a vacuum.

Thats how it should be... your not gonna get much boost unless you give it some gas...

STRI makes a really nice boost gauge. I got the smoked lense w/amber light digital.
