BMW of Mt. View (thumps down)

I picked up my ordered 335i the other day from BMW of Mt. View, my original sales person had left the dealership and I was assigned a new one (Alex)

When I got there looking over my car, I noticed some fine scratches from whom ever detailed my car. Nothing I can't get out with Zaino Z5, however, I was pissed that they did a shitty job and put fine scratches in my new car.

So, Alex didn't seem to care much and had a "so what" kind of attitude, so he gets Jamie (the manager on site at the time), again this guy is even worse, not only does he have the same "so what" attitude, but he also has the snooty, sleasy sales person attitude to go along with it. I show him what I am talking about and get this, he tells me "well, you don't have to take the car, I can sell it real quick to someone else" WTF, my new ordered, waiting for 2 mths special ordered car.

Long story short, I argue with this guy for like 20 mins, now the scratches are very fine and something I know I can get out with Zaino Z5, but what pissed me off was this guys attitude.

Now after all this it is getting late and after all the apaerwork was done Alex didn't want to spend any time with me to go over my car. Get this I had to ask questions of him to get any info. about the features on the car. OH and I had to activate my own Sirus service.

I have gotton better service from Chevrolet when I bought my Corvette.

My original sales person was awesome, but since she left, had my car not been ordered, I would have walked out and gone to Stevens Creek.

Well, I know who isn't going to get my service for any of my service issues. I am not going to give that dealership a dime of business.

Oh and I didn't get my triangles, tool kit, or first aid kit that the manual says comes in the car. Going to call and complain about that this morning.

Wait until I get my survey in the mail. Also I am thinking about contacting the general manager of the dealership or even the owner if I can find out who that is.

Just unbelievable, I have never been treated with so much dis-respect in my life and that is AFTER i bought the car.

Rant over.

sorry to hear that.

what sucks is it really does come down to who your CA is. also sucks to see the manager was like that.

Warning triangle and first aid kit dont come with ordered cars (or cars purchased here. THey only come with ED cars (although sometimes dealers will include a first aid kit for you). The tool kit should be in your trunk under that little lid.

I am sorry about your experience though. A bad CA does ruin your car-purchasing experience in the worst way.

It really depends on your CA.

I have always gone there for service and sales, never a problem.

Actually, the only problems I have with them is that they constantly scuff up your front bumper or sideskirts due to the ramps and careless drivers there.

I even told them not to mount the front plate, and they followed my order!

yeah, +1. Guess they were reluctant to help since they got no commission out of the sale.

I don't know if things would have been better for you at the other local dealer. I had the opposite experience (poor attitudes at SC, good support from MV). Like you my custom-ordered car was in and it was suck up the poor attitude or wait another two months

you always have to activate your own sirius

that's not the dealer's job

it's a transaction between YOU and SIRIUS

Hmmm,

When I bought my Lexus GX470, my sales person did it for me as part of the vehicle "walk thru"

As did my Audi sales person with my S4

I did it myself, as I'm sure you found out too it's not that hard

how would the dealer do it for you anyways? they need your credit card info to sign you up don't they

maybe I had a crappy sales experience too and I didn't notice it
