FMIC cold side Plumbing keeps popping off!
Just had a boost leak about 2 weeks ago, found the source; it was the FMIC cold side plumbing omw home from about 75 mile drive (not even spirited driving) i lost a ton of boost again get home check it out and looks like the cold side coupler has popped down again. got a 1 inch longer one to hopefully illiviate this problem, anyone have any insight?

Easy Fix. Make sure the tube/hose is free of oil use a T-clamp as u can tight them more than the regular clamp.

I had the same issue for the longest time until I found out the problem. For me, the problem was the clamp I was using. For whatever reasons, it didnt like the clamps it came with my fmic. I used this kind instead: http://www.directindustry.com/prod/i...22-574313.html, and never had the same issue.

Check the silicone hose. Dry it & the piping it's connecting with. Then try and more intense t-clamp and tighten it down.

Use hairspray or a little bit of silicone. Either will eliminate the problem.

Properly seating the clamp just after the bead is crucial to preventing boost leaks. Using t-bolts vs worm gear clamps will also prevent blow offs as well as keeping the alignment of the clamp straight when tightening the clamp.

That's why I have an HPF intercooler, uses factory clamps and haven't had an issue yet. Spike 17lbs on the daily and nothing. Hope you get your issue fixed.
