Lightbulb Custom Guage Idea #2

looking at the guages people have come up with now i just got a new idea of a guage setup. thanks to hartge and eugene with their custom setups i thought of something that is visible to the eye instead of the disclosed lighter unit below.

sorry if the pshop is bad i just couldn't find the picture i need of a closeup i drive and steering wheel.

anyhow here is the idea. you fabricate a closure like hartge has fit in two pods (boost and a/f) and stick it in the same place hartge has theirs. on top of that add a switch to turn on/off.

any opinions on this?

I love the interior on the Hartge and the digital gauge. Not really feeling the other gauges.

Would Hartge sell you that additional custom piece on the dashboard?

Agree, the Hartge setup is great. My first choice as well. I simply don't have the time to wait. Once the DP's are arriving and PROcede v2 supports the additional standard o2 sensor ( 0-5V ) as an option, I need the Boost and AFR gauges. If sometimes someone will come up with a Hartge or another OEM-look digital gauge solution I will probably change. In the meantime my solution will work for me. It's completely stealth, reversible and the wiring is relatively easy

you say "I simply don't have the time to wait." do you mean that hartge will be releasing that setup? i spoke to them before and they said no. but your setup is . my only concern is looking at the guages down there while driving at high speeds or something you know?

No, I don't have any informations that Hartge will release the gauge. However, I don't see a reason why such a gauge design could not be done from a manufacturer. We will see ...

agreed! looking down that far at a gauge while driving fast is not the smartest thing to do. honestly, if you can't put a gauge somewhere where it can be easily viewed (ideally w/out having to take your eyes off the road at all), then what's the point unless you don't care about your safety and the safety of others on the road.
