Who's been to Breckenridge, CO?
I'm going to Breck with my good friend Feb 3-9. Besides skiing (disappointed with the lack of snow recently, but hopefully we'll pick some up), what are some cool things to do? Also, some suggestions on bars and whatnot to pick up some slooters for hot tub action back at our hotel (Village at Breckenridge).
Thanks ![]() |

I'm relatively old now (and married) so I don't go out chasing tail anymore in Breck, so I don't have a ton of advice there, but I'd hit up Eric's Downstairs for a fun place to hang out. I'm also a fan of Breck Brewery - definitely get some growlers to take back to your hotel. And when you are hungover the next morning and need a good breakfast go to the Blue Moose (but expect to wait in line). And while I hate the place, there will probably be tons of snow bunnies at Crepes ala cart on main street - women seem to love that place for some odd reason.
Have fun; be safe; and thanks for coming to Colorado! -Rich |

I'd say check out the Gold Pan on the North end of town or the Irish Pub on the south end, maybe end the night at Cecilias (dance club) or Sherpa & Yetis for live music. If the skiing is poor or if you just need a break, snowmobiling is an option, I've had good luck with White Mountain Snowmobile Tours. Snowshoeing is another option.
Eric's is a good place to eat, as is Mi Casa. |

Eric's is always a must.
I like the mother loaded for quirky comfort food. Loco Moco is delish. I am headed to Vail, Beaver, A-Basin, Keystone and Breck mid Feb. can't wait. Have a great time

As the others have said, the Gold Pan and Cecilias are fun bars to hit up along with Salt Creek. I also highly recommend going to the crepe hut on Main St. Those things are always tasty, but there is usually always a line to wait in.

I love Breckenridge Brewery. They were way ahead of their time on the good beer tip.

Anyone have some tips where to still find fresh snow a few days after the storm?
We're heading to Breck, Vail, and maybe Steamboat. |

been to Breckenridge 3 times and i love it, Breckenridge Brewery was really good definitely recommend it. I am actually at Vail right now, just finished up my last day of riding, heading home tomorrow. Was lucky to be able to ride in some of the good snow from the storm, but some spots are already starting to become bare again, but it was still 3 awesome days of riding.

Also for breakfast try Columbine Cafe, it's right next to Eric's. There's also Daylight Doughnuts towards the north end of Main Street. If you end up in Frisco for breakfast, Butterhorn Bakery is a must!
There are little bars all over, make sure to walk around and check them all out! Eric's is always good and as the locals know, everywhere else just sucks! I had garbage pizza on garlic wheat crust today and it was awesome as usual! |

Haha, Everyone seems to be going around Feb 5 to 10th to ski! I'm going to Keystone, CO this 7th. Will hit up Breck., Beaver Creek and more. Funny thing is I got a friend from work, she is going the same time, same Condo as me and she just told me. So, we will be skiing partners.

I had a great trip with my buddy. Breck was funny; wherever we went, we had drinks/items left off our bill. This happened at least 3 times! haha
Eric's was probably my least favorite place. That pizza was pretty disgraceful lol (I'm from NJ) Good: Empire Burger, Park Ave Pub homemade chips and $1.50 Rolling Rocks apres ski, Lucha Colorado Cantina (awesome #5 salsa), Giampietro Pasta & Pizzeria (veal sausage special was awesome), Park & Main for breakfast (We wrote "Marry me ![]() Not good: Columbine Cafe's service (homemade corned beef hash was tasty), Eric's pizza Steamboat Springs downtown was a little disappointing I thought. The mountain was very nice though. Definitely an older crowd. Vail was awesome and huge. We picked up some snow the night before we went there, so some fresh pow was a treat. Didn't spend much time in the village, but seemed more upscale/ritzy and expensive. I'd go back to stay there though. Much more of a happening place, it seemed. |
