Angels Crest Hwy Meet (La Canada Flintridge/Burbank/Glendale) - Sept 16
Greetings all!
SROC3 and Fartpimpson and I have been talking and we'd like to go on a roadtrip up to Angels Crest Hwy on September 16. The route consists of meeting in Burbank, then getting on Angels Crest Hwy in La Canada for a 25-mile ride up into the mountains to Newcomb's Ranch for some lunch, then on over to Lake Arrowhead before turning around and coming back "home." The entire route will take about 7 to 8 hours round trip, depending on how fast we drive and how long we stop for. Last week I took this route myself so I'm familiar with it. Here are some photos from my adventure: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78141 Sign up on the calendar HERE. DATE: Sunday, September 16, 2007 TIME: 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM AGENDA: With the exception of the first meeting time, other times are guesstimates. 1. Pre-trip Gathering: Krispy Kreme @ Burbank Empire Center
NOTE: Everyone should bring a walkie talkie with. We'll be stopping occasionally for photo opps and it's very convenient for everyone to have a radio and be on the same channel. It's also good so that I can give directions when a turn is coming up as well as if anyone needs to stop to use the bathroom or for mechanical problems. If you don't have one, that's fine but I highly recommend bringing one with. It will just be that much more fun. I'll have mine tuned to Channel 21, Sub channel 7. |

I'm out on this one.
PS for the guys who are meeting by Krispy Kreme. The parking lot there is really small and can get busy if the drive thru line is long. It's better to park by Men's Warehouse because it has empty open spots. We've been having our weekly meets there for our Evos for the last 2+ years with over 20 cars showing up weekly, as long as you don't like like assholes, they are cool. |
