Post some Macro Photography
One of the reasons why I love Macro so much is that you don't have travel very far. I have a deep respect for landscape photogs who have to not only travel long distances but get there at the right time and place.
Anyways, here are some of my explored shots on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/swnsng/...7626250579023/ |

Nice stuff; i've introduced myself into macro at the end of the summer; but running out of macro subjects during winter since they're all frozen. I really want to exploit the focus stacking method, but need some practice.
Traded my 105mm 2.8D for a 105mm 2.8G last november; which can be coupled with my 2X TC for a total focal of 210mm; cant wait to try this out next spring!

I really appreciate SwnSng's creativity in avoiding the usual macro subjects. I'm afraid I usually end up doing the more conventional bug shots. I haven't shot much macro lately, but here's some happy bug-on-bug action from last year...

Wow; love the reflections.
What lens did you use for this kind of magnification? Any special PP technique? Stacking?

Oh it probably seems higher than 1:1 but it isnt. This was taken also on a Canon t2i which has a 1.6 cropped sensor, This is also about a 25% crop of the Original image. |
