Parked Car Ventilation
Any input on the use of parked car ventilation. I've read the owners manual and it doesnt describe the purpose very well. Several questions:
1. What does "radio readiness" mean?(from the manual). 2. What does "provides ventilation to the passenger compartment" mean? 3. What is the overall concept of this feature other than draining the battery. Preemptive Thx |

1. radio readiness means that the key would be in position two, engine off, accessory on. (or in the cars with the engine start button, just press it once quickly)
2. the point, (I believe) is to use excess engine heat to warm the passenger compartment with the engine off. Like if you went to the grocery store, and it was cold outside, the interior of the car would be still warm when you were done shopping. |

There are two timers that you can set and the car will vent for several minutes at those times. The idea is that you would have the car vent a few minutes before you come out of work to your parked car, for example, and it wouldn't be as hot.
^^^What you are describing above is the residual heat feature, not parked car ventilation. |
