Remove 335i muffler tips without cutting

Anyone tried removing the stock tips without cutting the pipe? I'm looking to heck it off but can't find welding spots, any input?

I think they have to be hacked off. Mine were.

Have to be cut off...... Saws all will do it with metal blade, it might help to have someone hold it while you cut it.
Sometimes it will shake with the movement of the saw and that's makes it PTA to get all the way through.

I really wanna get just the tip by grinding the welds, how did bmw weld it so well ?

There's enough room there to just cut the tips off, the welds are the strongest part I'd cut through the pipe behind the tip.
Saws all will cut through easily
