brakelife and brakedust

Any one have any idea how long after do the brakes need changing(not very harsh but moderate driving) and is it covered in the scheduled maintainence?
Also, can we get different brake bads that don't get so much brake dust. I get my wheels get fully covered within a week or so and its just anoying how much of that stuff you can get on the body.. specially visible on white:mad:

brake pads are not covered in Canada, so change your own pads. Greg L has a brand he recommends which is a low dust producer. Can't recall the brand off hand, but you can search. I get no dust myself.
