Picked up 335i -- thinking of doing a RMIC setup

Roof mounted intercooler for those unaware.

It would look something like this:

Here's the 335i

I'm a bit confused on how I'll do the brackets. I do have some spare sheet steel (22 gauge) that I can stick weld. I have also been thinking about installing a bike rack and mounting the intercooler up there.

interesting setup. looks dumb, but i bet its functional. its a lot better than putting it up on the front where it will probably get less airflow, and the piping would be longer too.

drifters even have side mounted intercoolers, but im not sure if its common anymore.

It's not practical at all, but boy does it more than make up for that in function. Don't be so quick to judge- or laugh.
For street use however, I would decline.

If our motors were back there too this would make sense. Another option for downforce also

Maybe on a mr2 since engine is on the back end.

Does not make sense otherwise.
