E90 vs E92
I got a chance to drive an E92. I have a E90 (nonsport) and the E92 (which is bone stock) was same year with very much similar in option specs. Both 328i's also.
It felt waay different than my car. Way sportier... I know the coupes come with sport suspension standard, but the car handled way better than mine. It felt more "toss-able". Riding on 19's, it suspension didn't feel too harsh as most coupe owners complain. The steering felt a little lighter yet more "sportier" than mine, even after I got M3 front control arms with non RFT PSS's. Interior felt different as well, where, the sport seats say lower and the roof line felt lower with the A pillar having more of a slant. |

I agree kinda. The coupe seats definitely sit you lower, my head almost hits the roof in my E90 with the seat all the way down and in my dads E92 M3 I have lots more room. In terms of driving feel, I can't really comment as my 335xi is nowhere near a ZCP M3.

I switched from the sedan to coupe.
Only drawback is the wind noise is louder because of the frameless window design of the coupe doors. seals less tight than the sedan. |

I've had two E90's. Great looking rides but not even close to my new 335is

I drive a e90 335i xdrive LCI '09 msport, had to get it serviced and got a 2013 328i xdrive f30 as a loaner, boy is it a big difference, the start stop is just horrible, (yes i know i can turn it off) but i wanted to test it out. Of course it being a loaner, i drove it hard and was very disappointed at the acceleration, the feedback on the steering wheel. The only plus side i would say would be the mpg i would get, that's about it.

After having driven a loaner for a sedan loaner for a couple days, I couldn't wait to get my coupe back. It didn't occur to me that one of the reasons I didn't like the ride was because of the seat height, but yes, that was part of it.

E92 standard sport pkg will make a big difference as witnessed by you. I love my E92 and love it more then any E90 I have driven. The looks of E92 is way better and more stylish then the more mundane E90 look that is compromised to accommodate 4 doors. The overall feel inside the cabin is also more sporty due to the seats being lower and the frame less door lend it a stylish feel with those long front doors with large windows. The car feels more airy. I love the E92 and could never see myself in an E90.

I have both an E90 325i and an E92 335i M-sport. I had to take the 325 for a week while I was doing some work to the 335, and hated it. It's a great car, but power and handling aren't close. (335 has a tune, so it's even more powerful).
To be fair, it's an apples to oranges comparison, but I think even if the coupe was a 328 I'd still prefer it. |

I have to agree with OP. I just drove my buddies E92 around today because I had to pick it up to do his brakes. I hated it. Everything about my E90 felt better. And it's not because I'm just used to the E90, I just bought my car a week ago.

You mean you don't agree with the OP, because from the sound of it, the OP loved the e92. |
