How do I remove this?
Hey guys, I was installing a CSL bootlid on my E92 and I can't find out how to get these things off the old boot. I looked at every bootlid DIY I could find but none have much to say about this. The new boot doesn't have them, so I assume I need to carry them over like everything else. Any tips?
Thanks |

There's one on each side, and a plastic piece screws on the end. I think they're the "bumpers" that contact the bottom half of the trunk to hold it on straight. They seem like they're rivets, but I think they're made of plastic. I'm just wondering how to get this off and transfer it over without destroying it.

The picture is fuzzy, but if they are rivets the only way to remove and reinstall is to drill them out and rivet them back in. You can always try to bolt/nut them back into place, but that will only work if you have enough clearance. Otherwise you'll have to re-rivet them. Its not difficult, you'd have to buy a riveting tool and some rivets, or find someone near you who does. With the tool it only takes a min or two.
