switching maps

Just wondering, but is it okay to switch cobb maps often? I have been switching back and forth to try to find the one I like lately, is this ok to constantly change them like I have been lately or can that confuse or mess up the ECU? I am sticking with the sport map stock throttle but I went back and forth quite a few times already.

Dousn't matter. Just let the car adapt by doing a few WOT pulls/100 mile drive once you are set of your map. Also don't forget to log.

I was switching maps and realized I downloaded the aggressive map by accident. So after I did that I just restarted the whole tuning process again and downloaded the sport one. I didn't do any damage or confuse the ECU or anything by downloading one and then immediately downloading another did I?

You have 93 octane right? I don't get why you don't just run stage 1 aggressive, log and be done with it.

Yeah but a lot of people seem to say it isn't a good idea to run aggressive without a fmic...

Who is saying that? As long as your not running the + maps an upgraded IC is not required, unless maybe if you live somewhere that has extreme heat.

You keep saying this. Who is saying it isn't a good idea? run the map, log, post log here, get feedback and be done with it.

Another +1 for stg1 aggressive assuming that's as far as you want to go mod wise. It is a VERY conservative map in the grand scheme of N54 tuning, assuming you have 93 pump there is absolutely no concerns from a hardware standpoint. Just log and make sure all parts are in good order, and you'll be set. Don't psych yourself out OP.

Hmm okay I will try the aggressive map and log. Is it a good map for daily driving? Also, when I go into my map menu on my ccessport, I don't see the aggressive map there. I see stage 1, stage 1 drive, and stage 1 sport, but no stage 1 aggressive. I checked and my accessport is up to date.

When I plug my accessport to my computer and run the ap manager software, it shows stage 1 aggressive in the list of maps, but when I plug the accessport to my car and look for it, it's not there on my accessport to choose from.

Yup and Stage 1 aggressive to 1+ aggressive with an upgraded IC is an even bigger difference in power than going from stage 1 sport to stage 1 aggressive.

Enjoy

Well it threw me a code and apparently I had a misfire on cylinder 5. I just had all my plugs changed 4j miles ago. Should I just forget about it and see if it happens again or take it in to get serviced?

Try swapping #5 coil with another cyl and see if the missfire changes with coil if so buy a new coil and away you go

Yeah I am going to try that. The only problem is I am not sure if I have the tools to do it. The misfire only happened once, I went wot a few times and have been driving a bit since and it hasn't happened again. Should I just leave it alone and see if it happens again?

I did a datalog and I did it from 3rd gear at 2500 rpm and took it to redline at 4th gear. I was only going about 100 though, on the other thread he said 4th gear redline you would be going like 130. Am I missing something?

Upload the log and we can take a look. You are AT or MT?

Upload the logs and well look. There's really no need for a 4th gear datalog, 3rd does just fine.
