Arrow New info i learned about the e90... maybe a repost

i have been waiting for mos. for my dealership to shut off my DRL...they always forget....

anyway... i was going through my on dash computer and you can actually shut them off through the set up screen....

you can also adjust the door locks, windows, auto seats... amount of time the headlights stay on as your walking up to the house... amount of times you want the turn signal to flash as you switch lanes... blah blah blah...

thought that was pretty cool... since tonight was the first time i drove with just the angel eyes and fogs on...

if you didnt know... enjoy.... if you did know ...sorry for the repost...

i played wit the I-Drive for about an hour and did that and a little more congratulations. There is also a timer that will turn on the heat/AC for you when the car is off Check your manual that thick azz book you didn't want to read when you purchased your 48-50k vehicle. I tried to get the car to heat up a pop tart that didn't work that well. lol

Dude, I thought that you were full of sh*t on this one. I kept pressing the gas pedal for 30 minutes before I realized that you have to press that "start" button prior to attempting the gas pedal trick.

Yep, RTOM. When I went to pick up my car, I configured everything just the way I had read about it beforehand.

Is this new for 2008 model? I have to put in drive after pressing start button and before pressing the gas pedal...

What's putting it in "drive"?

I have these numbers on my stick shift and I've figured out that you need to step on the pedal to the left of the brake if you don't want to hear this horrifying sound when you move the stick around. The car also performs better if you follow the diagram on top and progress through the numbers in order.

The manual was of no help and I had to sort all this out on my own.

Dood I saw that Book, It's about that Guy.... What is his name now... I forget... OH Yeah his name in Manuel... He's smart too knows all about my car...

What is screwed up though is that even without RTFM "Reading the Fu$&ing Manual" the CA is supposed to go over the car from Bumper to Bumper. Mine sure did, I had to finally ask her to stop so I could go sign papers and have drive the thing. There shouldn't be all of this "Wow look what I learned Stuff". It should have been explained already.

There was another thread a little while ago with some silly bastard being surprised by Hill assist. Tells me that CA's are not doing their jobs too well or folks aren't listening.

I feel your pain Steve... I had to go through this one myself... I wonder if there is a support group somewhere?
