The car will pull a lot of timing and the engine will not be happy at all

The cobb + fmic tunes the car more aggressively right? Is the stage 1 aggressive + FMIC significantly more powerful then just the normal stage 1 aggressive?

I would guess it would just produce too high of an air temp in your engine. The stage 1 + fmic is a stage that is meant for a better intercooler. So you would be running hot temps and certianly not be getting any gain with the engine temp being too hot....

I haven't used Cobb, but I'm kinda surprised someone hasn't just made a Matrix for all the various flavors of popular upgrade parts. Then when a person with a configuration uploads it, thy match up their parts with the car to spit out the tune. Maybe I'm too much of an Engineer??? Or maybe I'm just too detailed for my own good??

Too much timing for given setup > detonation > knock sensors triggered > timing gets pulled. Rinse, lather, repeat. Engine performance will be erratic and generally suck. If you want to run FMIC maps, get a FMIC.

You can probably get away with it during the winter when the air is cold. Otherwise, you'll get issues as the tune is using more aggressive settings for your engine. Hot air + aggressive tune = not a happy car/

U would think you could do this...i would not try it but theoretically an fmic just jeeps the engine cooler. On a not so hot day you could probably get away with it

Can you switch to the + stage as soon as you put the fmic in?
