possible wastegate rattle?
my car makes a rattling noise sounds like it is from the exhaust tho only on cold starts it makes me wonder if it is the flap in the exhaust rattling on cold starts but then goes away.

I believe one way to find out if it's the exhaust flap is to perform the golf tee mod. You should be able to find the DIY in the DIY section.

Yeah mine 335xi 62k miles did that unplugged the exhaust plug "'golf t-mod" and it went away.... My is CPO so next time I need to bring it in I'll ask them to fix it.....
