Help with Bluetooth Headunit.. Now Solved

Hi, I have just purchased a professional HU with USB and built in Bluetooth. The problem I am having is when trying to pair my phone with the HU.

From what I understand from the previous owner there should be a phone icon in the menu section but it isn't there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I had this unit in my motor & BT worked fine?

So why when installed in another car, would the option not be there? The USB option is still there!

Can anyone help?

Do you have the Bluetooth module in the boot wired up? Do you have the Bluetooth module? Just the head unit will not work.

I also believe it may require coding. Please let an expert confirm.

When you press menu, do you get the phone in the menu?
Or if you long press the phone, what happens?

The options in the menu section are comp config bmw parked.
Long pressing the phone button doesn't do anything.

I completely forgot how to bring the telephone options.
Lets hope that somebody with this HU can write the instructions here how to bring telephone menu.

Mine doesn't have USB, but I press menu, and one of the options is TEL.

When I first installed the headunit I had to have the engine running for some reason then you press the phone icon, bottom right, and it will saying something along the lines of 'searching for paired devices' hope this helps

Many thanks to all for your suggestions.
