Edmunds - 2014 Corvette Z51 vs 2013 Carrera S
Interesting results. Don't know if I agree but interesting nontheless.

Seems like a surprisingly balanced comparison. I know the C7 is supposed to be nicer inside, but the 991 is really, really good, so their comments on the Porsche feeling much nicer aren't that surprising.
The sad truth in the article is that two pedal transmissions are making it hard to love manuals if you're really into maximum numbers. |

Not surprised. Didnt need to read the article to figure out the end result.
"But then there's the undeniable reality that the 911 is the better car. Whether we're taking our kids to school or adding subtle countersteer to correct that big slide, we'd rather have the Porsche. It's the car that wins our hearts so it's the car that wins this test." Thanks for posting. Dont usually like Edmunds reviews, but this one seemed very fair. I would assume C&D, MT and R&T will be coming out with similar comparos as well. R&T already compared the C6 Z06 to the 991S and the 991S won that too. Both cars did put up stellar performance numbers though. Last edited by Wolfinwolfsclothing; 09-09-2013 at 12:44 PM.. |

I think it was pretty fair too. I think it will depend on what the reviewers want to emphasize.
If they lean towards driving dynamics and track time, I think the Corvette will have the upper hand. The C6 didn't have the advantage over other cars at driving on the limit but the C7 does. |

I am a bit surprised the C7 brakes stopped better than the PCCB in the lighter 991. I assume both cars have OE tires. Maybe the PSS helped out the C7?
C7 is definitely a lot of car for the $. |
