Bmw E92 335i Wheel Size Fitment Query
Hi,
I currently have 17" BMW 188 staggered wheels on my car and wheel/tyre size is, Front alloy wheels: 17x8" ET34 (225/45/R17) Rear alloy wheels: 17x8.5" ET37 (255/40/R17) I will be buying winter tyres within the next 1-2 months. I would like to know is it possible for me fit front sized wheels/tyres on the rear as i've heard its better for winter driving and also there is alot more choice of tyres on the 225/45/r17 wheels. Cheers.

I'm surprised you got 17" on a 335 at all. Good to hear though as It will be cheaper for me if I can get my winters in 17" variety.
I ran the same width front/back 16" on my E46 during winter. Other than it looking a bit shit, I can't see there being a problem. |

The handling is affected due to having less rubber on the road. But by no means was it dangerous. I'm sure there is a base model E9x that will be sold as standard with same width front/back. Does the bog standard, entry level 318 have offset rears? I can't imagine so. If it's good enough for BMW to sell like that, then I would think its fine.
