Is the clown nose really getting slimmer?
I heard that the E90 clown nose is less obtrustive than the E46 but I have also heard that in recent production months of the E90 the clown nose is slimmer than it was in the beginning.
Is this true? If so, does anyone have pictures of the slim versus non-slim version. And also, what production month did the new slim clown nose get introduced? [and before someone asks... the clown nose, is the red translucent plastic bubble that appears at the bottom edge (centre) of the rear-view mirror. If you have an alarm, it blinks when set, otherwise serves no useful purpose] |

Definately slimmer as compared to Rudolph's nose on the e46.
Not heard anything about additional slimming-down, but that would be good news if true. |

Hey man, just visited your website...your lemon leather is Absolutley Beautiful!! I wish our BMW of N. America wasn't so damned conservative. Year after year our choices are...black, gray or beige (and terra is not exciting, it's brown). Give us the choice of lemon, bright red, multiple shades of blue and green. If we want to make our car pimp, ugly tacky...give us the choice!! |

This has never been an issue with me. Ti doesnt' bother me nor have i ever thought about it. Though, what really pisses me off is that the auto dimmer doesnt dim enough. As a big truck get behind me it lights glaring it gert darker... but it should be THAT dark during normal driving and get even darker when being photoned from behind.

On a vehicle of this price an auto-dimming mirror would have been rather nice...........
