Smile OpenFlash Tablet E40 OTS update (Dyno)

Hi guys,
In the final stages of calibrating the OFT E40 OTS map. Test car is walker16's 2008 6AT with DPs, FMIC, DCIs and OpenFlash Tablet. 50k miles on the clock. Original turbos. This power level is supported on E30 but E40 is suggested for enhanced safety margin. I suspect we can squeeze out a little more next week when we finalize and release the tune to the public.

Cheers,
Shiv

Nice to see something more powerful coming out for OFT.

What are the boost and timing values being used for this release?

I did all the log viewing on the OFT new graphical data screen. Have some csv data saved on Walker16's OFT. Next time I get my hands on the car, I'll download them and post them up.

Peak boost is just over 18psi tapering to around 16psi at 6000rpm. Timing advance is 13-16 at WOT. AFR target is in the mid 12s so still quite conservative.

Cheers,
Shiv

Shiv,
Will there be any additional parameters with the OFT update?

That sounds perfect!

Since I will only be running pump 94 + meth, can I assume that the main timing table can be user-adjusted downwards about 4 degrees or so?

Perfect I have been waiting for you guys to come out with an E30ish map. I think i'm going to try this before going with a full procede oft stack. How is the drivability compared to a procede stack?

So this is a E40 fbo map?
There was an older announcement of an E30 map with just DCI. Is that still in the works or is this a replacement?

Hey Shiv... Looks really good... Are you able to log WGDC now so we can fix the boost issues / throttle closures and hit boost targets up top?

Don't hold your breath. I was told there would be something in a few weeks well over a month ago. And it looks like this E40 map is FBO, soo....

This is a replacement. But this e40 map will work on DCI-only cars as well. Also to be released is a stage 2 (pump gas) map. They are actually very similar with respect to boost control mapping. Differences are in fuel and ignition advance tables.

As with all OFT maps, everything will be user adjustable.

Graphical display update will be released (it's actually already released but you will need to update template file to access). After that we will be porting everything over to some other OFT applications. Then back to adding more user selectable channels. I hate given time frames. All I can say is that the new maps, datalogging and template file will be available next week.

If it is healthy, it shouldn't be a problem!
