most reliable BOV?

I've searched my butt off on here so don't start with a flame. I'm doing a charge pipe and am not a ricer. I don't care if it's loud or not. The job of the BOV is the work. I want a quality, no boost leaking reliable BOV. From what I gather it's the Tial or new HKS 4. opinions?

On a side note, i learned about the different '09+ factory charge pipes. Is it worth the extra 25 bux to buy the newer design pipe and replace the accordian elbow on my '07?

One thing to ask is when you are cruising down the interstate, won't the BOV be open? allowing unfiltered air to get into the engine?

Are you planning to run Meth? if so, go with Forge DVs so you're not spraying mist of meth in the engine bay at WOT

Care less about sound. I want quality and function. No, not planning on a meth system. I still like the idea of running DV's for a closed system and running only filtered air into my engine. BOV's are cool for the track. Not for a daily driver. I'll probably do the ER pipe kit with Forge DV's. F'k the sound.

Then it’s Tial.

Unless the BOV is totally messed up, there’s no reason to worry about “unfiltered” air entering the charge stream. The valve is either shut or forcing air outwards. Forge makes DVs, some swear by them, others have had them leak. There is absolutely no reason why you can’t have a BOV on a daily driven N54…dozens upon dozens of us do it.

Haven't had any problems out of my Tial and most of the time it's so quiet that I forget it's there.

Probably not. Unless you are at idle in neutral but coasting on the highway. As mentioned above the air is either being pushed out or the BOV is closed. Unfiltered air cannot get in.
Do you have some underlying concerns?

^ I don't like the idea of unfiltered air getting in. I was on the DSM board and it's a topic there also. Some guys are getting small debris into the system. The BOV will open with X amount of vacuum. and with X amount of vacuum and boost on the other end. So if you have lots of vacuum driving down the interstate, it will be open. And some are saying that it only sucks air at idle. I don't even run KN air style filters b/c I like properly filtered air for my engine. So i'm goign with a ER later 2009+ pipe, and either the Tial or Forge option.

^ Why would the above convince you to get a Tial? Don't get me wrong Tial makes quality products...but the above video just shows that it's nearly impossible to get particular matter in the charge stream via the BOV. It's either venting air outwards or holding boost. At no point is air free to enter the BOV.
