Summary: Payless suck, Budget are better, Mustangs are loud, 6MT rules (but not on a Mustang), and I'm very thankful for my M3. Happy Thanksgiving y'all!

So I went to Atlanta for Thanksgiving to visit family, and upon arrival discovered that Payless didn't have my car ready - or any car for that matter, as they were sold out the say before, and couldn't be bothered to tell me (even after I called the same morning just to be safe). My fault honestly, as I should have known that Payless is a pathetic excuse for a rental company, and is one breath away from bankruptcy... Start looking around, and what do you know, 10 rental agencies with zero cars available... Except a 6MT 2013 Mustang GT that nobody wanted to rent. So, for the price of the Nissan Micra (or similar, god forbid), I got a Mustang.

First, let me say that driving a DCT for the past few months made me really excited to do my own shifting. However, whomever designed the tranny on the mustang should be castrated! Clunky, slow, and tired! And on top of that, the shifter is just really poorly located, rendering the entire experience a real PITA!! I challenge you to pull of a decent downshift... Just pathetic! That being said, the power, the rumble... The sound... Wow! I need a new exhaust! Akra probably... I've had my mind set on an MPE for a while, but I can see myself wanting something with a little more oomph.

Still, must be better than the Jeep Compass I got in Detroit! Can't wait to get home.

How awesome is it to be traveling during this holiday and the biggest problem you have is slumming it in a Mustang GT.

I can think of worse plights man. No regrets spending twice as much on an M3!!!

Payless and dollar rentals suck.. especially at the atl airport.

Enterprise is my fav.

Manual mustang as a rental is unheard of. Wonder how it got in the fleet?

Lol obviously! Like any rental it was actually pretty fun, all joking aside... Amazing power and sound, and you feel every bit of it at WOT redline, as well just pulling out of a parking lot...
