Full 3inch exhaust alteration question.

Hello,

I have a general performance question, hopefully somone has knowledge of this subject.

I have a full 3 inch exhaust and dp, I want to add new tips to my setup. I found someone selling quad tips. Only concern is the inlet for them are 2.5 inches.

I know it's at the end of my system, but will it affect the performance?

Thanks,
DK

Your exhaust outlets are 3"? Are you sure?

I'm not sure what size the tips are but you should be able to blend the 3" into the dual 2.5"?? tip to not have restriction. Take it to a quality shop and they should be able to blend the transition. Dual 2.5" straight exhaust is good for 600-650ish hp easy.

I know I have a full 3" exhaust, I am not 100% sure after the muffler what the dimensions are. Would a 3" exhaust normally be 3" after the muffler?

its a dual milltek if that helps.

What downpipes are you running?

I'm not aware of any that don't taper down from 3" to meet with the mid-pipes.

I thought Milltek was 2.5". Anyways, don't know any 3" dual exhausts for 335. And I'm pretty sure most tips are 2.5".

Yeah, I was mistaken. I was given the exhaust as a gift, and told it was a 3". After researching, I see that it is actually 2.5".
