Prior 11 135i owner, current 12 TT-RS owner
Went from an 11 135i a cpl years ago, to awaiting an allocation on a 1M that never came to fruition (sad face). And im brought back after a nice run in with a fellow 135i owner on the way home.
Thought id share my 135i replacement, and my 1M denial consolation car, my 2012 TT-RS. NEW TAG, arrived just today: Old Tag: |

Looks good, I like the red accent on the wheels.
There's a white one around here I think. Haven't seen it for awhile though. |

Thank you for the compliments. It's soon to be much, much faster.
Going over seas for 6 months to a year, and when I get back I will be addin the APR STG III kit, and all the required pieces. Good for 650+ whp... Love that deployment pay... And all pay tax free at that. |

Awesome choice and lucky you for ending up with the better car due to the denial! I chose my TT-RS over a 1M in an easy choice for me.
I loved that car when I had it, insane grip and glorious bespoke engine. Only sold it because a Boxster Spyder presented itself that was too good to pass up! Would love to have another one again some day. Enjoy it! Last edited by HBspeed; 01-20-2014 at 08:41 PM.. |

Love the car but not a fan of the wheels.

The wheels are a factory option, just painted stock "rotor" Audi wheels. Looks better on the car than the silver stock color. Its the same reason I opted for the carbon fiber mirrors, instead of the silver capped stockers.

It drives definitely more sporty than the 135i. The standard Magnetic Ride suspension on the Audi even with sport mode off, is stiffer than the 135i with M sport. It has such a different feel, mostly due to that and the AWD. You can definitely huck it into corners waaay more aggressively than the 135i.
Even with all the traction control off and in sport mode, it has soo much more grip and cornering stability. I did look at the Cayman R. But, as a two seater, would be even more impracticable than the small back seats in the Audi. I like being able to take the wife and kid out on my fun drives too. |
