Pretty cool, but maybe I am old school and don't care to follow "new phone releases" anymore. So someone showed it off early...., is that REALLY going to effect the sales that much when it is released?

That's exactly what my thoughts were. I would be willing to bet that somebody isn't going to be let out of the house for a while if that's true.

I am a 'techie' so I definitely like to see new and upcoming stuff life this! But yeah, I seriously doubt it will affect sales. But I can also see how the company would be hugely pissed!

The only way it will affect sales is in a positive way. I call BS on the whole story. They are taking a page from Apple's handbook and having some "leaked info" create a bunch of hyped publicity.

I was kind of thinking something similar.

But Apple's reasoning all along for not letting product features leak out is due to the fundamental concerns about current sales being cannibalize since people will wait for a future products. In recent yrs Apple has not had that issue since people who will buy continue to buy since apple has been maintaining the older product along with the new one as well.

This is why you have some companies who's current product are not selling well, are willing to let future product information out, they are hoping people hold off buying a competitors products.

In addition to that, you've got people who heard about the leak but didn't get to see the review. Now there will be roomers of the phone being far more advanced than it really is.

I watched a little bit of the video with the audio muted (i'm at work + no headphones)

This whole thing is probably fake! Companies do it all the time. (Apple!) They purposely have a "Leaked" photo/video on the internet hoping it goes viral so the marketing team can get people excited early OR to study peoples reaction before initial release.

Please... i have a life. There isn't much difference in phones nowadays. These things are getting too big and too confusing to use.
Very expensive and 99.9% of the features dont get used.

Only thing that matters about the phone...is how quick can you can safely root it.

I agree with the above...publicity stunt hoping to go viral.

A-ffect, E-ffect...., forgot how serious the internet was. Please excuse the grammatically incorrect word. My sincerest apologies, captain.
