Okay, here is my mini review. I have only had the car a few days and have only done 100 miles. I attached a couple really bad pics of a dirty car, but I also included a photo collage of my gf to make up for it. She made the photo collage btw.
I will first off say that I like compact cars. I'm a nut for steering feel too. My first cars were 2 manual miatas. Then I graduated to 3 manual boxsters, then a cayman. So I know steering feel! I started driving bmw after injuries made porsche too painful. My first bmw was a e90 328, followed by 135i dct, followed by 2012 650i, followed by 335is with dinan stage 2. All great cars except the 650. The. 650 was a pig. It drove like a Camry. The steering wheel told me nothing. I feared all bmw's were moving this way. I was about to leave the brand as I could not settle on a suitable replacement for the 335is. Anyway the eps in the m235 is really good. It's different than a hydrolic system but it does talk to you. There is feedback. It's actually quite good. I actually prefer it to the hydrolic set up in the 135 and 335is. Those that value steering feel should drive the car. I will also say that the car puts the power down nicely. I haven't driven it hard yet but it doesn't disappoint after switching from a 335is dct w dinan stage 2. This mill may drive even better at higher rpm. Some mags have said so. I haven't explored that yet because of break in. It certainly revs more easily. Also the 8 speed auto performs well. I'm surprised I like it so much, because I swore by the 7 speed dct. Given, I'm staying out of manual mode for now because of break in. The car performs very well in sport and sport plus though. The m adaptive suspension has also exceeded my expectations too. The brakes are great as well. Almost as much bite as a 135. Anyway the car has exceeded my expectations. Gotta go. Writing report for my boss. Update: Moderators removed pictures of really hot girlfriend in underwear. |

damn...the rear of that..........look's mighty good. So many folks including myself thought the rear end of the 235i looked slightly funky without any bulging fenders...but you have corrected my opinion....Keep the pictures coming !! And i do agree with your review so far...the steering is fine and so is the power of the car...Just needs a touch more M in the rear end.
