I dunno about who will take who. but i can tell you that the cl63 is way more exclusive than the m6 and will get you more attention than bmw.

i personally like the m6 better. might but be as quick but it offers both elegance, luxury, comfort, and sport. althogh i do like the m5>m6 between the m6 and cl def m6. plus if you are going to mod the two cars the m6 is def way more mod friendly. what are you going to do with the benz? put a body kit on lorisiner, brabus, etc and for engine either renntech, brabus, etc? then you got the rims, tires, suspension but it the tuned benz to me is not appealing. no matter how much you tune a benz i am still not a fan personally. def the m6. Interior: Hartge C/F Wheel, interior, pedal, e-brake, bmw rubber floor mats, v1 hardwire. Exterior: Vorsteiner vented hood, trunk lip, hamann sides, your pref of front lip, 6k light setup HO 30-35% tint Tires & Rims: neez, bbs, champion, dymag ps2, f1, t1r, uhp Performance: active ecu afe intake pulley differential ss/kreis-seig full 6/4 bbk moton/kw v2 |

These two cars are really quite different.
AMGs are simply high power versions of the regular MB cars. All they do is use a higher output engine (usually by adding turbos or a supercharger) and improve the suspension and brakes. Compared to the regular MB cars, AMGs can go faster and handle a bit better, but that's about it. At the end of the day, it's still the same soft Mercedes Benz, only more energetic. On the other hand, the M6 is a genuine sports car/borderline super car. It completely out drives, and out handles the CL63, most evidently on a track. When you really take a look at what these cars are about, you'll see that they are two different animals. There is a Best Motoring episode where they discuss the shortcomings of AMG vehicles as performance cars (in comparison to BMW's M). I'd recommend watching it as they did a good job of explaining what AMGs are good for. The CL is a very luxurious, comfortable, and exquisite car. If you like the CL-class, but want something with even more power, then the CL63 might be a good choice. It's also a huge status symbol, which is important to some people. But, if you're looking for a real performance car, then the CL63 would be inappropriate. |

on paper the m6 is nice but when you see it up close you realize how ugly it is and you just wanna burn your eyes : and if you want to make it nice with all the mods that you listed thats going be what 10k maybe more probably, not worth it if you ask me. |

Whoever said the new AMG models are the same soft Mercedes hasn't driven the new AMG models.
First, the new AMG cars aren't turboed or supercharged. The car in question, the CL63, is a naturally aspirated V8. Second, I truly believe AMG has stepped up its game quite a bit in the suspension department as well as the steering ratio, which was a huge turn-off for previous AMG models. The M6 and the CL63, I believe, are in two different classes. The M6 would compete more with the CLK63. BMW does not have a current car in its lineup that competes with Mercedes' CL class. It used to be the 8-series, but they have not produced an 8 series for many years. Between the M6 and the CL63, I would no question get the CL63. It is a larger car, seats more comfortably, I believe has a more ergonomic interior, and as others have mentions, can hold its own and is rarer. The majority of customers who buy M6s or CL63s do not fix up their cars, other than possibly wheels, so the notion of buying a car within this league purely for aftermarket potential is almost naught. |
