Vanos Solenoid code
ok im getting a 2a82 code which is intake side vanos solenoid jammed. i got this same code about a month ago and took both solenoids out and cleaned them as best as i could and swapped the positions. the car ran great for that day but the next day the car would slightly shudder at idle but once i stepped on the pedal it felt fine. the car boosted normally with jb4 on and all. code popped back up about a week later. i turned the car off/on and it went away. everything seemed fine with the car except for the little shudder and slight misfires only at idle. now yesterday the code pops up yet again. could it be that both solenoids might be bad, or maybe i didnt clean it good? i know i might need a spark plug change cause i have not changed them since i picked up the car in December so im assuming that is what the slight misfire is.

Camshaft pulse generators could be the issues, I have seen it trigger solenoid valve codes before.
Part number 3 in this link->http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...67&hg=11&fg=15 I don't suggest this move unless you have replaced both solenoid valves. One very important question, do you have any oil leaks around your oil filter assembly area? Worse case->http://youtu.be/BO_gUoVTv6g

OK, your Vanos Solenoids require full oil pressure immediately upon startup. If you have a oil leak at the main oil filter assembly gasket (Click Pic p #4 or 5 oil cooler) this can cause an early starvation of the vanos solenoids causing an early stumble at startup but then clears up after oil pressure is built back up. There is also a check valve in the oil filer assembly that can cause the same issue but rarely goes bad. You may find the oil filter assembly gasket may fix your code issue and the stumbling at start.
How many miles does your 335i have on it?

No you don't have to remover the intake. If this is your issues you will have a noticeable oil leak.

I think you should just replace
The solenoids completely and fix that oil leak
