COMMENTS

Here is the 2015 model year map for U.S. BMW models.

Here are some of the notable models coming:
• 2 Series Active Tourer (F45) coming to US, with production beginning March 2015
• 228i xDrive Coupe coming
• M235i xDrive Coupe coming
• 2 Series Convertibles (F23) coming in 228i, 228i xDrive and M235i models
• 4 Series xDrive Convertible coming
• 435i xDrive Gran Coupe coming
• New X5 M (F85) coming (Jan. 2015 start of regular production)
• New X6 M (F86) coming (Jan. 2015 start of regular production)
SOP = Start of Production for demo and initial stock cars.
Start of Regular Production is for customer ordered cars.
S = SULEV
SA = South African built

With any new model that you see on the schedule, expect that the market launch (date it hits dealers) will be approximately 2 months after production begins.

looks like the 435i xDrive GC isn't coming until September/October (with July SOP). Might as well wait to see if BMW may do a mid-year refresh on the 4 GC.

The 2er Cabrio debuts this Summer, although watch out for FEP(final evaluation phase) cars , now driving in Munich.

Next up is the BMW 2er Gran Tourer and BMW 1er LCi. And of course another concept car.

I guess there really isn't any hope for the 2er GC. I know they've said it, but I've been in denial! :'(

I believe SOP is for dealer demo and initial stock cars. Regular production is for customer ordered cars.

Probably won't see it in the US before 2016 at the earliest.

If at all. I suspect that if it ever exists it will be a limited production item, ala 1M. BMW sees the 2 series as a lower cost intro model. An M2 using the M3/M4 bits would cost close to M3/M4 prices.
