Question. Can dealerships do this?

If I was wanting to get some parts replaced under warranty, because those parts are probably close to if not already about to give could that be done. I'd rather not deal with towing and waiting for the inevitable to become.

Hmmm damn, it sucks sitting there waiting for the tow guy because you knew it was gonna break and didn't want to pay for it, if it's covered under warranty :/

Unfortunately, no. Remember that warranties cover only currently broken things, while recalls cover preventative maintenance. Anything outside of that is going to cost you money for them to do.

Ah okay, that does make sense...alright :/ darn I guess I'll just have to wait for the inevitable.

Also this is just out of curiosity, my car is running amazing. Just replaced ignition coil and she's running strong once more!

Saying something like that out loud "my car is running amazing" is a sure fire way to make something break.

I see what you did there... clever

Some of the dealerships are beta testing the Minority Report OBDII system, so those dealerships can in fact replace stuff that they already know will break in the future.

u gotta be cool with the actual technician at the dealer. i was lucky to find one that installed my FMIC in his garage. after that we became cool and he would always hook me up. no free turbo or nothing like that i wish. but the service advisor can't do shit engine wise, they are kinda like the middle man, but they can hook up the price.

and if u say ur car is running amazing then your good. are u tuned??

It is, just did the ignition coil and camshaft exhaust vanos solenoid! runs beautifully, and no I have not done any mods on the car as of yet, but I have been looking into them and i'll probably go charge pipe, downpipe, DCI, and JB4 tune.

the tune is really the reason why i'm asking about getting parts replaced under warranty, I want to try to prevent any problems before they happen.

I wish... The most frustrating thing is when something IS broken but they can't prove it's broken, like the CD player of a car I had in 2005. But it became a great excuse to get a Pioneer HU ... But I digress. So, if it's not de facto broken, they won't let you replace it.
