engine type SULEV or not?

i want to know what engine is in my car. according to realoem.com and VIN lookup on other sites it says N51
i have 2007 328i coupe but sometime i get asked if my engine is SULEV?
how can i get that info? i seen a N52 SULEV option on a site when i was looking up parts that's it.
just curious.

If you have N51, then you have SULEV car.

Under your hood there is a black sticker that says either ulev or sulev if u see sulev then you have an n51/ulev n52. Also if u see the 3 stage intake manifold then that can also mean you have the n51.

Thanks for all info. I did find sticker. Now. Any thing special about this engine. I already retrofit the 2007 335 exhaust and was thinking of BMS power box (something like that) would be bad? I haven't seen any side effects from exhaust. It's been few months now.

congrats, now is time to supercharge it, N51 can hold more boost then N52.
