The whole 10% of the brain thing bugged me. That really just needs to die, so it was disheartening to see it used that way in this movie. Granted, it's not too dissimilar from Limitless, but this one bugged me more.

I agree on that absurdity. Based on what I see, they could've saved that and simply went with whatever mystery drug that is being released in her system + natural adrenaline = Hot Chick on a super powered rampage!

Exactly. I liked the drug mule aspect. Even on-board with her Bourne Identity level abilities.

But then they jump the shark and she basically can do magic. Kind of like when Neo figures out that he can manipulate the matrix. Except it's real life and she's just on drugs.

It would an AWESOME movie if you find out at the end, that none of this is actually happening and she's just been tripping balls at a Starbucks, running around and yelling at strangers.

Agree. Especially tripping balls part.
Loved the drug mule part but the whole magic thing is kind of stupid. That 10% brain thing is stupid. Can't believe another person has written, invested, produced a movie based on this stupid myth.

I love Luc Besson films and I'll check it out but it definitely takes liberal portions of other recent plotlines.

Yes, it's just Limitless but with a woman. Hollywood is lacking in creativity these days. Another great example is the tom cruise movie, Edge of Darkness. It has the same ideas as Jake Gylenhaals Source Code, but the former is set in a war.

It's cool with me if it's like Limitless with a chick. I thought Limitless was great and ScarJo, well, not so bad either. The trick is to not have high expectations for the film and you'll be less likely to be disappointed.

I didn't see "Under the skin" but yeah, I've heard it's strange.
ScarJo in "Her" was great. The way she emotes with just her voice should have won her an Oscar, IMO.

Captain America = hot
Don Jon = hot
Avengers = hot
The Island = hot
Black Dahlia = hot
Iron Man = hot

And you know what? I forgive her for her John Kerry faux past. She more than made up for it with the CK, LV and D&G ad campaigns.

Critics be damned, I'm gonna see this. Please pan it...that just means the Blu-Ray will be cheaper for me
