BT retrofit kit for 2007 e90
Anyone tried the Bimmernav Bluetooth retrofit kit on a 2007 series e90? Checked my trunk and I see no wires which suggests the car is not pre-wired. US cars are supposedly pre-wired. Have i-Drive with speech recognition which means that at least the microphone should be in. Shapping up to be a dog of a retrofit. Curious if anyone has attempted this yet in Canada.
Thanks. |

If I remove the bottom cover in my trunk there is a bundle of unused cables there and I believe it's for the ulf module. I have a 2008 coupe.

BT wiring was a $1K option in the 2007 3 series; it is now part of the luxury package -- I suspect if you didn't pay for it, you don't have it...

Didn't get the premium package and my sales guy told me that I could get BT later. Turns out that the "BT later" is an aftermarket Garmin Nuvi. Checked the VIN with the dealer and no pre-wire even though I have i-Drive and Nav. Bimmernav BT retrofit kit already shipped and it assumes car is pre-wired. I enjoy a good challenge . Will post a DYI if anyone is interested.
