Nixon Automotive is a great store. However, if you have I-Drive, you need to look for the alarm coding done elsewhere.
I tried Nixon, and their computer could not make the alarm appear as a menu in I-Drive (which it should). It appears the computer only activated my motion sensor.

I'm in Toronto and want to get the alarm too but don't know where to go to get it activated and also don't have the jack pad/adaptor to lift my car up. Any of the GTA folks here can tell me where to go for the activation and/or off to help with the jacking?

Guys, I would suggest to go to Dealer for activation. I tried to save some money and have it programmed at a shop, but I had nothing but problems and they could not do it. I ended up going to Mississauga BMW which charged me 1 hour labour ($115+tax). They had to update the software level in the car first for the alarm coding to work, and that's why it's not a good idea to go to a third party shop...

Just activate is 115 + tax in Mississauga BMW...and 180 + tax with installation at BMW autohaus...seems it's easier to just give autohaus to install the alarm for me for the extra $65 and no need to know how to jack up the car. |
