tex2670 wroteI can also confirm that 100%.It's definitely not Black Sapphire Metallic - my prior car was that color.
I saw a Black Sapphire X1 X-Line at my dealer months ago. The wheel arches were dark but definitely not black. More like dark grey gunmetal color. (pics below from a black sapphire X1)
By the way, those wheel arches were the #1 reason that I opted to get the M Sport package. I thought they looked kind of odd on a silver X1.

(edit: correct pic uploaded)
Davz wroteAre you sure they are painted? I suspect the plastic is impregnated with the colour and not matchable to a standard paint. As per the title….does anyone know what the paint code or name of the paint which is used on the wheel arches of the Xline? Is it Sapphire black?
SpaceSilverX1 wroteThese pix aren't xLine; these are base with matte finish trim. xLine black trim is shiny. xLine vehicles have silver slats in the grille, and silver caps on the rear view mirrors.I can also confirm that 100%.

just looked at the BMW parts catalog.... the wheels arches don't say that they come primed, which means they may come prepainted. (unlike the lower rocker panel strips of the same color that shows as "primed" in the parts catalog.. not sure why those say primed)
the correct pic is this one.
The colour is definitely metallic and changes colour from different directions, black as night to dark grey!
I’ll try the stealer but I have little confidence in them🤣
Davz wroteare you looking for the touch-up paint? Thanks for the response.

I spoke to another dealer and they said it wasn’t listed on the system…..great!
I have the optional (uk) 19” wheels which are painted in midnight grey, however searching for bmw mg finds nothing, no paint code and no listing for mg at all but it is listed as a bmw wheel finish!
The wheel colour and xline arch colour looks the same or at least very similar but I can’t find any paint specialist who does the wheel paint, but midnight grey is listed as a mini colour, anyone know if this is the same?
Davz wroteI wonder what a body repair shop would do if the trim was damaged? Might be worth checking with them though maybe they just order new prepainted trim from BMW rather than repainting?I’ve come up against a brick wall with Bmw. The dealer I bought the car from told me the paint code is U83, which is incorrect as it’s a frozen Matt colour.

Pganders wroteI'm sorry to say I've already had repairs due to incident in a parking lot where another driver scraped my rear bumper, and even managed to scrape a bit of the body just above the bumper. The repair shop replaced the bumper assembly but chose to repaint the body (there were no dents, just very scraped paint/finishes). I don't think they are painting these bumpers. (I have an xLine in Storm Bay, so the rear bumper is that shiny black finish that I think you are referring to). Also, this was a collision center affiliated with the BMW dealership where I bought the car.I wonder what a body repair shop would do if the trim was damaged?
