re: auto hold... I'll usually only use this in drive thru or traffic - in this vehicle only used once so far at an atm, but i did notice it was on one other time mysteriously
I suspect its because in this POS is just one slab of plastic and not actual buttons so pressing down anywhere near it may engage it (like the << arrow for example) or just the garbage idrive glitching who knows. |

Though I don’t use it that after, Auto Brake Hold works for me as designed. No issues at all in my 24 x1 28i

Updated to 11.2024 this week. 2023 x1 on i drive 8. Now comfort access is not working right, walking away with digital key is not locking the vehicle and arming the alarm. Checked all settings and it should be working but is not. App is also now saying all doors are locked, when they are not.
Parking brake is also now not being automatically set when turning off car. Would have no idea that changed if not for forum. Have turned that back on in the car and it keeps turning itself off. Both of these are borderline dangerous—leaving car unlocked and not having the e brake suddenly stop normal behavior is really unfortunate. |

don't you think it's a stretch to call those touch sensitive buttons? the old 1-8 programmable buttons on a proper dash were touch sensitive (light touch would display the setting, push to activate)

It's not a button in a traditional sense, but you have to press it and it only responds to a physical push, and not just a touch like a touch screen, so no, I don't think it's a stretch. Yes the 1-8 buttons were touch sensitive, but they were dual function. It's not like BMW couldn't make the console like that, but then you'd accidentally "press" those buttons every time your arm went across the console.
