No kidding! I took a single turbo supra to the Las Vegas meet back in '01 and could not hook at all on low boost even with slicks.

Also ended up loosing in the finals due to a redlight. Don't normally do that but he did have twice the horsepower I did.

That's why I checked my ego at the door driving on this track during my ED experience. Saw a few of these accidents first hand.

Is this track really that beat up and worth risking a wreck? Seems like a lot of these cars are driven by experienced drivers, not sure how I could justify giving it a go.

It's much more enjoyable watching these videos 2 weeks AFTER I successfully drove the new car on the 'Ring (in the rain) w/o incident. I can thank YouTube for giving me the fear I needed to stay safe.

There was a couple great saves though, one day I will get to go around the ring def on my bucket list. That pretty interesting that they charge for damage to guardrails what a kick in the nuts, you just crashed your baby and oh yeah by the way you owe us 1k wtf.

Europeans man. They're different. They also like to stand in front of rally cars coming in sideways on turns.

I dig the cheering culture. It's not quite a save, but you didn't hit the rails. Get some cheers, give a honk, and go on with life.

The streets in Vegas are horrible. Like driving on ice even without being wet it is easy to spin the rear tires on Vegas streets. Always wondered why their streets were so slippery in Vegas.

Just don't drive like an idiot, and do it for the experience and you'll be fine.

It was raining and snowing on parts when we did it in April, did a few laps.... Called it a day.

(1st time I've ever been on a track)

Well, not counting 1/4 mile.

But my car (and I ) earned its sticker.

I have driven on the Ring twice, once after ED, and then a 2-day M School at the Ring, including a drive on the F1 track. What that video does not show is that there are motorcycles also running on the Ring, and those crashes are not pleasant to see.

It is a fantastic experience, but check your ego, and in the rain, keep all your traction control nannies engaged -- that was the mandatory setting during M School in the rain. Also, with TC engaged, the car will not let you go fast around Carousel.

It's the heat. Same thing happens in Arizona. Asphalt has oil, on hot days the oil secrets causing the roads to become slippery

How much of this was driver error? Some of the losses of control were a little surprising, especially in the dry. I guess hard to tell from outside the car...

In the corner featured most of all, looks like a lot of excess speed? Makes me nervous about doing the ring on ED. Not all of those drivers looked like amateurs.

Everyone that does and ED 'ring run says it's no big deal ... I've done a few EDs and never gone because all it takes is one idiot.

That said, I did drive in Italy so I guess I"m the idiot.
