Hahahahaha I totally agree. Nah I have a girlfriend, and have known her for a while. She is a honest girl who just has financial issues, but wants to help the cat. Regardless of any donations she already dropped a few hundred and told me she will do what ever it takes to make sure the cat survives and lives a good life. He will most likely need a few more round of antibiotics but she’s hopeful.

I don't think she is looking for $2,000. She is just trying to get the cat healthy, neutered, chipped, and rehomed. They ask you to set a limit/goal. That is just the number she entered. Yeah, well I kind of alluded to that previously - just takes panhandling to a much larger scale. The world becomes your sidewalk, given you are using social media to beg.

Which is sort of fascinating to me...to see how large a reach one can have with just a simple post. And if you make it sad enough, you could really rake in the dough.

Kind of like that whole homeless man who gave $20 to that woman so she could get gas and get home - that gofundme exploded and there were hundreds of thousands raised for that guy (who was genuinely homeless), but man - what an investment that $20 was.

Or you look at the wall on gofundme - $19.6M raised so far.

It's fascinating because of the reach you have and how it can add up so quickly.

You know what's interesting? In your last PM to me (I consider them love missives btw), you said, and I quote: "The car has been helped".

Now...one wonders, is that just a typo which we should just chalk down to being indicative of your ability to communicate and simply ignore it ...OR...was that the truth. Was it a car after all we were really helping out?

Sadly, we will never know....
