Anyone watch Formula One? F1 fans!

Started watching Formula One recently for the first time. I am HOOKED.
With new season start in a month, I can't wait. Such an exciting race program to watch.

Not really a vettel's fan, hopefully Alonso or Lewis pick up their pace this year. Surprised to hear that Alonso saying Ferrari has been copying RedBull's gizmos.

Any thoughts about previous year or whats gonna happen this year?

I used to love F1 when I started following it in the early V10-only days. Now with all this gay KERS and DRS shit it's nowhere near the same. I'll still download the BBC broadcasts a few hours after the race finishes (fuck SPEED channel and especially FOX) but my new addiction is ALMS and European touring car racing. Now they are doing it right - real racing.

I respect the philosophy that you have. A lot of people think this way. For me though, I'm always the welcome-new-things kinda guy. I love the KERS and DRS system. It gives slower F1s some chance against faster ones and also creates more dynamic racing story at the end of the day. Lot more over-takes and more strategy needed to compensate for the new technologies.

Anyway I only watch WRC WTCC and DTM or GT/ALMS series, almost never F1 anymore. I don't like it anymore. Back in the 80's and 90s those F1 pilots were MEN , now they are sissies imho. And the cars look horrible, disgusting(imo

I think "Refined" is a better word choice rather than "Sissies", but to each on your own. I do understand where you are coming from. After 2010/11 season, I began watching previous years starting from 94, and yes, the raw toughness of F1 disappeared over the years and is becoming more like a fun little video game. I like the fun part of it.

I don't think RBR will dominate this year like they did in 2011 since they made such good use of the blown diffuser, but as long as they have Adrian Newey onboard they'll always be near the top. I just hope Ferrari doesn't have another shit year.

I think Jensen Button will be the driver to watch this year though.

I think Red Bull will be able to pull another Championship this year with Vettel at the wheel of the RB8 - although not nearly as dominant as last year (which would be near impossible to replicate). Keep an eye on Kimi though, which shouldn't be a problem - he's BACK, and, though early, the tests hint that he's ready to go!!
