Seriously! If I could find a job in my industry anywhere else with good weather I would be out! Out of the expensive ass, overpopulated, tree hugging, over sensitive environment I'm in.

I can imagine how this went down.

Woman holds beads as if to throw them.
Axius drops his pants.
She looks down.
Her: I see you are going to just need your hands to hang on to these.
*hands him the beads*
*pats him on the head*

High beams not helping in Lewisville TX right now.....

They (the police) are into revenue generating on 121 now, hiding on overpasses and on-ramps. I have no respect for that. Enforce the law, don't "generate revenue" on a freeway. I've seen Lewisville. They need their police on their streets, not handing out tickets. It's an awful town.

ps.....ask me how I really feel.

The police? What is it?

It's a law enforcement agency, but that's not important right now.

This is the same issue in Northern VA. Crime is so low that all cops do is hide out and give tickets in a state that won't allow radar detectors. And, God forbid you go 20 miles over, you get a reckless driving ticket which you cannot pay unless you go to court (and get a lawyer). The other ridiculous thing is reckless driving is considered the same offense as DUI! Really??

I've heard the gang initiation thing before. Around here, flashing brights is for:

1. someone not having their headlights on
2. warming of ingress to speed trap
3. yielding to someone/indicating for someone to go at 2+ way stop
4. informing someone that their brights are on

It doesn't have to be brights either....hazards, lo beams, and fog lights work just as well.

I stopped doing it except at 2,3,4 way stops or to indicate to a semi or something that I'm letting them in front of me at a merge. In the case of the latter, a flash of the hazards in return is a 'thank you' from them.

I recall there being a court case or otherwise a ruling of some kind that basically equated flashing lights to warn other motorists is actually a freedom of speech/expression and was protected by the 1st Amendment. I don't recall at what level that was ruled, though.

Seriously, do people not do this anymore?
When I lived in the usa, I came up with a group of driving palls. We used the same school zone daily and we clearly had the same disrespect for the school zone idiotic rules.

In two years I saw them do the same things I did: Every time I saw a texter in the 20 mph zone, I honked my horn, every time I saw some one smoking in the car while kids were in it I honked and every time someone did both at the same time, I went to talk to the cop.

We all left intersections with wheels spins to proof our point. We didn't give a shit if people drove 40 near a school, because the places kids should go across should be clearly marked AND we were paying attention while we were driving.

Now, if someone needs an extra rant, I can tell you how my son crossed a road without looking left and right three days ago, and cried like a baby when the whole family ate his birthday cake and he didn't get a bite.

I sure as fuck warn others about cops. Maybe then they pay attention on their way to the trap at least.

And this is the speeding queen of two continents speaking...

I remember that as well. It was a Missouri judge but each state makes their own laws about it. Some don't explicitly ban high beam flashing but they can get you under other laws like blinding oncoming motorists or driving a vehicle equipped with flashing lights.

before when i was in South Africa, it was a common practice whether day or night, 90% of drivers do that so people were accustomed to do so but when i moved to Dallas, TX i have never seen or encountered so i don't do it.
now back in SA and am back into this phenomenon, love it
