What? There still 13 laps to go. RB could still go all out and quickly narrow that gap. Mercedes has done it various times over the years…still a lot of racing left anything can still happen.

HAM and Merc are very good at managing tyre wear.
Their development has been focussed a lot on that the past 7 years (think for example DAS and I'm sure they have knowledge and finetuning that no one knows about)

They usually can run much longer stints on tyres than the other teams.
